DartBoston’s No Frills July Un-Newsletter

Pokin’ Holes Live!
Last week we hosted our very first live episode of Pokin’ Holes at Vox featuring Sean O’Connor’s Ratingworld.com. Thanks to everyone who came out! We plan on doing more of these live events in the future so if you have any feedback, be sure to tell us (email team@dartboston.com), and we’ll listen with open ears.

Also, if you want your company, idea, or product featured on the show, email Cort (cort@dartboston.com) and he’ll add you to our schedule. We’re also always looking for panelists so feel free to submit your name for that too!

Special Chat with Alan Webber, Founder of Fast Company and Author of 52 Rules of Thumb
The Twitter fates have graced me with a wonderful connection, Alan Webber – author, entrepreneur, global detective, and Pokin’ Holes fan! This Friday, Alan will be video chatting with us from Santa Fe, NM to discuss his new book and…. just about anything! Want to know what it takes to start a publication? Want some business tips from a former Editor of Harvard Business Review? Maybe you even want to discuss who Alan’s favorite Jonas Brother is. Here’s your chance!

Date: Friday, 7/24
Time: 6 PM ET
Place: 102 Dartmouth St. Boston (Copley Square)

We’ll probably order pizza and beers so you’ll be asked to chip-in at the door if you plan on eating. Space in the apartment is limited so *please* email me (alexa.scordato@gmail.com) to let us know if you plan on attending. We can accommodate the first 15 to say “I’m in”.

What the heck is DartBoston?
Believe it or not, we’re still trying to figure out what DartBoston is. Some say it’s a show, some say it’s a network. Some say it’s a group of marketers, while others think this will evolve into a talent agency or incubator for start-ups. We’re not quite sure what the heck we’re doing yet, but we know the possibilities are endless thanks to the group of individuals we’re connected to.

Our goal is to facilitate helpful connections, provide constructive feedback, and create an engaging, social community for young professionals in the city. We want you to feel like there’s always a team behind every endeavor you’re a part of. We know there are other groups out there trying to empower young people, but we’re trying to be the group that has the most fun trying!

Thanks for reading and hope to see you out and about soon!
