Pokin' Holes – Amazing Feets

Why do so many girls after a night out walk home barefoot?

This week’s business idea came from Alexa Scordato, one of the core team at Dart102.  A couple weeks ago I was pitching the idea of doing the Pokin’ Holes show to Alexa and she instantly piped up with an idea that seems to have been on her mind for quite a while.

Here is the idea from Alexa…

“Amazing Feets: Women all over the world suffer from footwear discomfort, especially after a night on the town or a long day’s commute.  Amazing Feets introduces a new line of disposable footwear that helps keep women on their toes.  These compressed flip flops and ballet flats fit comfortably in small handbags and pocketbooks making it easy to relieve aching feet in times of need.  They cater to young, active women and will be distributed at local nightclubs, amusement parks, and other social venues.”

We have three panelists coming to poke holes in the idea: Alexa will be here to further explore the business model, serial entrepreneur and VP at Thermo Fisher Scientific Hal Grodzin will provide his business expertise, and Stefanie Smith, founder of Launch into Boston will contribute her insight as well.

I’m really looking forward to the first show and hope to have it up on the site soon.

Update 5/16/09: Episode is now online! – Alexa
