Pokin’ Holes – DM Design

by Cort on June 25, 2009

dmdesign There are so many graphic designers, web designers, print designers, etc.  So the question is, how does a designer differentiate oneself to develop a quality and recognizable brand?

Tonight we take a look at DM Design an up and coming group of designers and developers who offer a wide portfolio of design services.  After talking to Dave Deblasio, founder of DM Design he outlined a few questions that he was looking for a perspective on.

1. How should he determine the price point of his design services?

2. How can a design company like this scale?  Will this be a lifestyle business or a growth start-up with a potential exit?

3. With so many other designers out there how can he differentiate DM Design to be a recognizable quality brand?

We will also be diving into topics of establishing a product focus, determining a target market, generating leads, managing human resources, business model and more.

To help provide insight on these topics are 3 awesome young Boston entrepreneurs!

Adam Pieniazek – Co-founder of The 42nd Estate, a freelance writing and blog consulting web media firm. When I’m not working I’m biking around Boston or reminiscing about BSG.

Sandy Kalik – I like to do three things at once: tweet, chew gum and watch tv. Really, I do PR, marketing and retail. And I love it!
