Pokin’ Holes – Ep36 – Textaurant

by Cort on February 4, 2010

textuarantAlthough Vinalia can be a tough restaurant to find (being on the second floor of an office building), there was a great crowd out last night talking startups.  In the hot seat we had the company Textaurant founded Josh Bob.

Textaurant is the new wait management tool for restaurants utilizing text messaging over the traditional paper and pencil or the black buzzer.  So rather than being confined to the wait area or restaurant bar, you are free to walk as far from the bar as you would like, without losing your spot in line, only to be called back to the restaurant, when your table is ready, via text message.

Josh has his company pretty well thought out and broke the news last night on Pokin’ Holes (yes we are all about breaking startup news) that Textaurant’s service is now being tested at the Chili’s in Burlington.  So everyone needs to head out to Burlington for the Textaurant experience.

On last night’s panel we had:

Chris Gallello: Student, entrepreneur, engineer, and photographer

Jeremy Levine:StarStreet’s Founder. Huge (Boston) sports fan – Working on making the Sports Stock Market the best it can be – Follow along @StarStSports, StarStreetSports.com

Steven Shapiro: Kickass Name/Bitchin’ Logo? Brand Licensing? Emerging Businesses or Creatives? Internet Law? Comic Books? Lord Jeffs? Swimming? I’m your Huckleberry.

Listen to what these guys had to say about Textaurant in the video below…
