Pokin' Holes Pre Show – La 3ieme Main

By Cort on October 18 2009 posted in Pokin Holes, Pre Show with 3 comments

GuitarWe are looking at the intersection of tech and music this week with the company La 3ieme Main, creators of Draw Your Sound. The product, Draw Your Sound allows guitarists to create an infinite amount of distortion effects by simply drawing the sound curve they would like to emulate on their guitar’s touch pad.  (Reference the photo above to get a glimpse of the technology)

While Dart typically concentrates on Boston based start-ups we have a couple of 23 year old guest from France coming to Boston to gain insight from Boston’s entrepreneurial community.

Nicolas and Guillaume, founders of La 3ieme Main (I’m working on my French so I can pronounce this) arrived in Boston at 5pm last night and then booked it over to DartHQ to shoot the Pre-Show at 6:45pm.  I have to thank them as well as Yann, from the French consulate for pushing through jet lag to participate on the Pre-Show.

If you want to come out to Pokin’ Holes on Thursday pick up your ticket… http://pokinholes.eventbrite.com

This Thursday we will be at Vlora.  We have a special event this week as Thomas Edwards,The Professional Wingman, will be on hand to shoot his live show, WingmanTV.  So come out, support the local Boston entrepreneurial community and enjoy quality cocktails and conversation.

See everyone on Thursday!

This weeks topic of guitar music manipulation is an interesting one. Draw Your Sound is a cool early stage product – these two young guys from France (Nicolas and Guillaume) are doing it. Came for a visit to Boston to help make it happen.

There are times at work I could use a third hand. Typing and mousing simultaneously!
