The wait time for a table can be the difference maker of whether or not patrons decide to eat at a restaurant. Who wants to be handcuffed to a Restaurant’s waiting room with that awkwardly shaped black buzzer (it never seems to fit in my pocket comfortably) when you could be spending your time more efficiently during your wait?
And that’s where Josh Bob and his company Textaurant (twitter) comes in. Textaurant is changing the way we dine from how we currently wait for tables, to how we interact with restaurants. Now you can walk as far away from the restaurant, run some errands and get a text message letting you know your table will be ready in 5 minutes.
CAPITALIZE UPDATE: Josh is going to be pitching on Tuesday February 9th’s Capitalize at Kepha Partners and Eric Hjerpe. If you want a ticket to Capitalize you will have to win it at Pokin’ Holes or Tuesday’s Family Dinner. Make sure to come out so you can be in the boardroom!
I had a chance to talk to Josh more about his company in this week’s Pre Show…
We are at Vinalia in Downtown Crossing this week.
