Pokin' Holes – SBS Varsity Card

What would you say to no line and no cover at all the hottest bars in Boston?

If you don’t already know Social Boston Sports, they offer some of the best (if not the best) social events and sports leagues for young professionals in Boston (yeah you are going to want to get to know them).

The Varsity Card, which sells for $100, provides young professionals with tons of benefits all around Boston.  For one thing it is affiliated with BYFAD so you can use it like a BYFAD card and even better, when you buy a Varsity Card you get an instant $25 to spend at any BYFAD bar.  But what I love about it and what makes me want a Varsity Card over just a BYFAD card is the fact that I can pass the long lines and ridiculous cover charges at the bars in Boston.

As the Varsity Card initiative has just been rolled out, we are going to be Pokin’ Holes in the initiative’s current strategy and look for ways to help SBS increase the number of young professionals purchasing the card as well as the overall experience for young professionals who have the card.

I am really excited about the three guests this week, they are all rockstars in the young Boston community…

Natasha Yemelyanova, an SEO guru at iprospect

Carla Blumenthal, social media rockstar and co-founder of the generation Y blog Life Before Noon

Sean O’Conner, founder of rating world and winner of several film festival awards for his recent film, ‘Flashover

I can’t wait to hear the conversation on the SBS card. It is cool to have friends involved with startups, but the coolest thing to hear was a random people on the subway talking about SBS. On top of all the sports leagues (including corn hole, wtf?) the BYFAD deal is really sweet. I’m a big fan of the SBS Varsity card. Definitely check it out!
