The name Chris Brogan is synonymous with social media, but for purposes of Rule 53, I’d like to think of Chris as the professor whose class everyone wants to take. In the past few years, Chris has cultivated a community of subscribers, followers, fans, and friends that have led to the creation of his own social media agency (New Marketing Labs), a NYTimes Best seller (Trust Agents), and one of the most widely-read blogs in the world (chrisbrogan.com).
Chris Brogan’s Rule of Thumb: “Equip others by sharing”
In this episode, University of New Hampshire senior, Anthony Liang, had a chance to ask Chris a few questions about his experience as a new media and marketing mogul. Anthony is studying economics, but has a passion for entrepreneurship, web technology and social media. When he is not in class at UNH, Anthony is helping local organizations understand how to use the new social media tools available through the web.
Personal sidenote from Alexa:
Chris inspired me to create the Rule53 podcast. Over the summer, he and I exchanged emails with Alan Webber (author of Rules of Thumb) and one of Chris’s key messages was to tell a story about our sense of urgency to cultivate a new class of leaders. His marketing brilliance is unrivaled and has single-handedly changed my career in more ways than he’ll ever know.
